Number of applicants for employment

Definition:
The number of people that shows to be interested in a job at the organization. Interest has to be predefined: does it mean the number of completely filled in application forms, or information requests about working at the company?

Calculation:
Sum of applicants

Interpretation of results: Higher Is Better

Strategic objective:
Desirable place to work

Applicants hired

Definition:
Conversion rate: number of applicants that will be hired. The rate to which people that show their interest in a job at the organization (e.g. by filling in an application form) pass their tests or interview and will be hired.

Calculation:
(Number of hired people / Number of applicants) * 100%

This KPI is measured as: Percentage (%)

Interpretation of results: Higher Is Better

Strategic objective:
Skilled and experienced workforce

Flexible working hours

Definition:
Percentage of staff working flexible hours: not within a fixed time frame.

Calculation:
(Staff with flexible hours / total number of staff) * 100%

Strategic objective:

Direct working hours

Definition:
The percentage of working hours that have been spend on labour. Mind that the cause can be a dimension, and that the causes can be captured in separate KPI's.

Calculation:
(Number of working hours that have been spend on direct labour / Number of potential workin hours) * 100%

Square Feet of Selling Space

Definition:
Total square footage of selling space. This does not include backrooms, offices or storage areas. It usually includes fitting rooms, where applicable.

Sum of (predefined what kind of) footage

This KPI is measured as: Surface Area (e.g. M2)

Profitability; Customer Satisfaction

Employee turnover

Definition:
Extent to which employees leave the organization. Employee turnover indicates the level of satisfaction and motivation and the market position of the organization.

Calculation:
Number of employees that left the organization / Total number of employees

This KPI is measured as: Percentage (%)

Interpretation of results: Lower Is Better

Strategic objective:

Website Success Rate

Definition:
The number of hits that lead to staying visitors. WSR.

Calculation:
The number of hits that lead to staying visitors WSR = No. of Hits * Bounce Rate
